Robert is a senior executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning life sciences, healthcare, commercial banking, and enterprise operations. He combines strong financial discipline with hands-on operational leadership, allowing him to transform complex organizations, improve efficiency, and create sustainable, revenue-generating enterprises.
Throughout his career, Robert has held leadership positions at organizations including Citibank, Customers Bank, Wells Fargo, the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center, and the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute.
Life Sciences and Operational Leadership
As Chief Operating Officer of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center and the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute, Robert directed operations across three affiliated nonprofit organizations. He oversaw more than 50 tenant companies, a combined asset base exceeding $50 million, and a 150,000-square-foot life sciences facility.
In this position, Robert supported the continued growth of the region’s biotechnology and startup community. He led capital improvement initiatives, strengthened internal operations, and developed the infrastructure required to support growing companies and research organizations.
Technology and Process Improvement
Robert is an advocate for using technology to improve organizational performance. He has implemented AI-driven workflow automation, reduced administrative overhead, centralized operational reporting, and developed dashboards that provide leadership with greater visibility into business performance.
His approach connects technology with practical business outcomes, allowing organizations to operate more efficiently while making better-informed strategic decisions.
Banking and Financial Expertise
Before transitioning into life sciences operations, Robert spent approximately two decades in commercial banking. As Executive Vice President and Market President at Customers Bank, he managed a regional profit-and-loss portfolio exceeding $120 million and increased the Commercial Middle Market portfolio by 18% year over year.
During his eight years at Citibank, Robert led a specialized healthcare and life sciences banking division. He structured complex credit facilities ranging from $5 million to $50 million for research organizations, contract research organizations, and specialty healthcare companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Personal Background
Robert resides in New Hope, Pennsylvania, with his wife, two children, and two golden retrievers. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys scuba diving and mountain biking.
